Recognising the need to expand their reach beyond their loyal clientele, the Northern Belle embarked on a bold new venture—television advertising. The Middle Club took full creative control, from shooting and directing to post-production and securing Clearcast approval. The result? A seamless 30-second Sky TV advert that elegantly showcased the magic of Britain’s most luxurious train.
As part of a strategic push to attract a broader audience, The Middle Club produced, directed, and edited the first-ever Northern Belle TV commercial, aired on Sky TV. The campaign was designed to highlight the elegance, nostalgia, and timeless luxury of the train in just 30 seconds, with Hollywood icon Bill Nighy lending his voice to narrate a script written by Cameron. Every shot was carefully composed to reflect the sophistication and grandeur of the Northern Belle, transporting viewers into a world of vintage glamour and five-star service.
